Congratulations are in order for Jake Shipley, our Technical Apprentice, who recently passed his second exam in order to achieve the CompTIA A+ Certification. This is a part of a series of industry standard qualifications that Jake will be undertaking in order to become an MCITP by the end of the year.

Jake has recently passed his Practical Application assessment, the second exam in order to achieve the CompTIA A+ Certification. This is an industry standard qualification which validates the foundation-level knowledge and skills necessary for a career in IT support.

The Practical Application exam provided Jake with a hands-on assessment of real life scenarios where troubleshooting and tools must be applied to resolve everyday IT problems. The qualification proves Jakes competence in areas such as installation, preventative maintenance, networking, security and troubleshooting.

CompTIA A+ is part of the certification track for further Microsoft qualifications that Jake will be undertaking this year as part of his fast track apprenticeship scheme to become a fully qualified Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).

Jake will be completing his Network+ certification next before moving onto to complete the qualifications necessary to achieve the Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) accreditation later on in the year.
