We are pleased to announce that we have employed a new staff member to join our expanding IT support team.
We would like to welcome on-board Josh Turner who joins us in the role of Technical Apprentice. Josh will follow in the footsteps of Jake Shipley who joined us in January; both are completing the Microsoft Advanced IT Apprenticeship Scheme.The scheme is the UK’s first online IT Apprenticeship programme run by Microsoft and leading training provider UK e learning . It will provide Josh with a structured training programme split between intense learning and integration into the workplace.
Josh will become part of our expanding Help Desk Team and will work closely alongside Daniel Conway, Help Desk Supervisor and Jake Shipley our other Technical Apprentice. The Air-IT Help Desk provides our clients with instant access to advice, troubleshooting and remote support for any IT problems that are encountered on a daily basis.
The Microsoft apprenticeship scheme utilises virtual learning techniques and will allow Josh to gain valuable experience on our dedicated Help Desk whilst gaining industry recognised qualifications for IT technical support.
The fast track apprenticeship will run over a period of 12 months and will allow Josh to gain a range of IT qualifications and become a fully qualified Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).
After recently completing his A levels Josh decided to pursue a career in technical support rather than going to University due to his keen interest in ICT.
Whilst at School Josh completed his Duke of Edinburgh Silver and Bronze awards and was also an Anti-Bullying and Peer mentor.
An ardent sportsman Josh is a qualified basketball coach and currently plays for the men’s senior team and captains the under 18’s for the Spondon Flames basketball team in the Nottinghamshire league.
