Air-IT is pleased to announce that we have successfully renewed our certification as a Microsoft Authorised Education Reseller (AER) for the next 12 months.

This accreditation enables us to provide discounted Microsoft academic products to qualified educational users within the education and charity sectors in the UK.

To renew our certification, we had to complete and pass a rigorous assessment process to prove our ability to deliver specialist advice and IT services to these markets. This included demonstrating our technical knowledge around Microsoft and its academic products, the provision of educational licensing, and our understanding of the education sector’s unique IT needs.

Air-IT’s Managing Director, Todd McQuilkin says:

‘We’re proud to be one of just a handful of IT companies in Nottingham and the East Midlands to hold this accreditation. Renewing our Microsoft AER status shows our commitment to the education market and gives our clients the confidence of working with an approved and knowledgeable academic IT specialist.’

Air-IT Supporting the Education Sector

The education sector is certainly a growth area for Air-IT and we number both private and public schools amongst our clients.

Prior to Christmas our expertise in academic IT was recognised when we were hand-picked to attend the Nottingham ‘Building Schools for the Future’ Managed Services Open Market Day at the Nottingham Council Houses, where we showcased our managed IT support services to local schools.

We also work with a wide range of companies in the charity and not-for-profit sectors who benefit from the significant discounts on Microsoft software products that are only available through AER-certified companies such as Air-IT. To qualify for the Microsoft Educational Licence schemes and receive the discounts, an organisation must be recognised as a qualified educational user.

Qualified educational users include schools, colleges and universities as well as other providers of education and learning, such as training institutes. Various non-educational establishments are also eligible, such as public libraries, museums, local educational authorities and some charitable organisations.

Are You a Qualified Educational User?

Please contact Air-IT for expert advice and information about our services for qualified educational users and to find out more about the special discounts that are available from Microsoft.

If you’re not sure whether your organisation is entitled to these discounts, please call 0115 880 0044 and speak to one of our specialists.

Even if you don’t qualify for discounts, Air-IT can still help with your IT needs – please contact us to find out more and discuss your requirements.
