Air-IT staff supporting Red Nose Day celebrations
We’re proud to announce that we raised over £360 for the charity through various fundraising activities carried out during the day.
A massive £78 million was raised by the end of the BBC’s live show – a record breaking total for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day – taking the total amount raised by the charity in its 30 year history over the one billion pound barrier.
How We Supported Comic Relief
Our Service Desk team were keen to resolve as many support tickets as possible throughout the day with £1 being pledged by Managing Director, Todd McQuilkin, for every case successfully closed.

Technicians worked hard to break their daily record of 152 closed tickets with an extra £100 donation being pledged if they exceeded this target by the end of the day.
Despite their best efforts, the team finished on 116 tickets amassing a healthy £116 for the charity. However, at the last minute Todd kindly doubled the Air-IT/ MBC donation to £2 for each ticket closed raising a final total of £232 from the Service Desk alone.

Team members also dressed down for the day, with many donning their official merchandise including the famous red nose, deely boppers and spectacles – all to be seen on show throughout our offices.

Cakes and Sweepstakes
Our authentic home produced cake sale proved very popular with staff and plenty of delicious cakes were on offer throughout the day – generating another £22 to our overall total.
