Josh Turner – Winner Employee’s Employees Award

Delivering Excellence All Round

Josh was automatically put forward for the award after winning the Most Improved Performance category in our quarterly Delivering Excellence Awards.

These awards are chosen by the management team and recognise team members for their outstanding achievements across three categories: Most Improved Performance, Most Valuable Contribution and Outstanding Customer Service.

Our new staff awards programme was introduced last year to recognise staff that have gone over and above their call of duty.

Winners of Delivering Excellence Awards

Winners of the three categories were announced in February and included:

Josh Turner – Most Improved Performance

For excelling in his new position as Dispatcher / Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of the Service Desk.

Andrew Madigan – Most Valuable Contribution

For his outstanding work in the leadership and continued progress of our financial development.

Paul Driver – Outstanding Customer Service

For his highly customer centric approach and undying professionalism in management of client accounts

A huge well done to all our winners who all received a meal for two at a venue of their choice.

Employees’ Employee Award

Each of the three winners were all put through to the Employees’ Employee Award, along with Amy Lockyer and John Davies who were added by the management team for their outstanding achievements during the period.

Staff were then asked to vote for the person they felt had made the biggest contribution to company performance over the last quarter.

Voting was extremely close this time around with Josh just pipping John to the post by one vote and being crowned Employees’ Employee of the Quarter.

To celebrate his achievement Josh was presented with a certificate and a prize – a weekend away for two – by our MD, Todd McQuilkin.

Josh comments:

I was thrilled to receive the Most Improved Performance Award, but to win a second award voted for by the whole team is a real honour – it goes without saying that I couldn’t have achieved this without their support

Josh joined Air-IT as an apprentice back in 2011 and has quickly progressed through the ranks to become an invaluable and integral member of our team. He earned early recognition in 2012 as one of twenty finalists short listed for the Microsoft Apprentice of the Year Award – among thousands of contenders. He was also one of three finalists in the prestigious Nottingham Post Business Awards in the Apprentice of the Year Award.

As Service Desk Supervisor and Dispatcher Josh plays a vital role in co-ordinating our Service Desk team, scheduling work for engineers and supporting the technical team to keep our service standards consistently high.

Nominations for our next set of quarterly awards are already underway and we’ll be announcing the three winners of our Delivering Excellence Awards at the end of June.
