Josh and Caroline Watson, from category sponsor The Money Shop at the Nottingham Chamber Business Awards ceremony 2015
Josh was named winner as of the Young Person in Business Award at a glittering and prestigious awards ceremony held by the Nottingham Chamber at Goosedale Hall on Thursday 24th September.
Caroline Watson, Chief Brand and Communications Officer of category sponsor, The Money Shop, presented the award – which saw Josh take the title as Nottinghamshire’s Young Person in Business 2015.
Air-IT were there to celebrate with Josh, who was shortlisted as a finalist along with contestants representing Castle Pumps and Flare Clothing Ltd.
And the occasion has since gone on to result in double joy following news from the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC), who announced Josh as the regional winner for the same category award on Monday 28th September.
This means Josh will now go through with other regional finalists to represent the East Midlands at the BCC’s annual and highly prestigious awards ceremony being held at The Brewery in London on Thursday 26th November.
The evening will see eight businesses walk away with national category awards, with one winner crowned as the overall Business of the Year 2015, and receiving a £10,000 cash prize.

About the Young Person in Business Award
The Young Person in Buisness Award aims to recognise the significant contribution that a person under the age of 30 can make to the success of a company.
It’s been truly overwhelming to receive this recognition since the standards were incredibly high.
It’s an absolute honour to go forward to the British Chamber national finals and I look forward to flying the flag for both Air-IT and the East Midlands at the awards night in November.

Both of Josh’s awards were decided by separate, impartial judging panels, with the regional title being selected from the category winners across the surrounding counties of Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire.
The double win is fantastic recognition of Josh’s achievements and testament to the valuable contribution and success he has enjoyed in his early career at Air-IT.
Managing Director, Todd McQuilkin comments:
Josh has come a long way since joining the company as an apprentice 4 years ago and has quickly progressed to become an integral and well respected member of our management team.
I’m delighted that his efforts have been recognised externally and wish him every success as a national finalist in London later this year.
Josh will be joined at the British Chamber national finals by six other regional winners from the East Midlands Chamber, all whom hope to pick up a national award for the region.
Congratulations and Good Luck!
Everyone at Air-IT and MBC would like to congratulate Josh on his double award win and wish him the very best of luck at the BCC national finals in November.
We’d also like to congratulate all finalists who will be there representing the East Midlands business community and hope that they all come back with their first awards at the nationals.
