How to Buy
The three most common ways to purchase Microsoft software are:
Pre-installed software
Pre-installed on a PC, laptop or other smart device. This is also known as OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). This is usually the least expensive way to buy software. You would normally choose pre-installed software when you are buying new PCs or laptops.
Boxed software
Boxed software is also known as FPP (Full Packaged Product). This is the ideal option if you are only buying a small number of licences.
Volume Licensing
Volume licensing programmes offer discounts when you buy five or more licences. There are a range of agreements available that cater for different types and sizes of business, and which last for varying periods – typically two or three years.
