Mobile Email Solutions
Managers and mobile workers are becoming ever reliant on being able to access their emails on the move. Air-IT recognises the importance of efficient email solutions and offers a variety of solutions.
BlackBerry
BlackBerry is available for a fixed monthly fee in three options:
- BES: BlackBerry Enterprise Server
A dedicated server mirrors the content of your Windows Exchange, Lotus Domino or Novell Groupwise server and provides over the air synchronisation so that changes made either on the BlackBerry device or the user's PC are kept in sync with each other. Ideal for companies with more than 30 BlackBerry users.
- BPS: BlackBerry Professional Service
Functions in nearly exactly the same way as a BES but there is now no need for a dedicated server as well as the companies email server. It is easy to install and ideal for companies with 2 -30 users.
- BIS: BlackBerry Internet Server
Is a basic email service allowing your existing email to be forwarded seamlessly to your BlackBerry. It does not sync any actions undertaken on the BlackBerry with your Pc or vice versa.
Microsoft Push Email
Microsoft's push email service that is available on any device with windows mobile 5.0 or 6.0 or a number of selected Nokia business phones.
For a full list of compatible Nokia handsets go to Nokia's business software website.
The beauty of Microsoft's push email solution is that no BES or equivalent is required and you just pay for the data use depending on the volume. For low users we recommend a 5Mb data tariff per month but for medium to heavy email user's 36Mb means that this is a cost-effective option to BlackBerry.

- Use mobile versions of familiar Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Email is pushed - no need to dial up or request to receive
