We have now invested over £300.000 in the project with continued investment planned for on-going staff training, upgrading our business systems and the new Helpdesk Department.
A Review of Our Relocation to New Head Quarters
What a fantastic year it has been for Air-IT since we completed our relocation into new premises at Nottingham Business Park. The big move was completed during March 2010 and has provided us with a new HQ for our business.
We have now invested over £300.000 in the project with continued investment planned for on-going staff training, upgrading our business systems and the new Helpdesk Department. Once again we achieved the Microsoft Gold Partner Status and have just become a Sage Accredited Business Partner. Our client base continues to grow and we have recently taken on 2 new staff to make sure that we continue to provide a high quality ICT service to all our clients.
Improvements to our IT Support Services
Our client IT support offering continues to improve with the introduction of the new dedicated Help Desk which has already been a major success. We have also made a significant investment in industry leading remote monitoring software which allows us to proactively monitor our client’s network environment.
Daniel Conway has been promoted to Help Desk Supervisor and Jake Shipley joined us in January on the Microsoft Advanced IT Apprenticeship Scheme and will be working closely alongside Daniel. We have also taken on an additional Technician, James Cumberpatch who joins our expanding IT support team as a Junior Account Technician.
The aim of our new Help Desk is to answer all support calls without routing them directly to one of our onsite Technicians. We are therefore encouraging all of our clients to use this as their first point of contact when reporting any daily IT support issues. This will allow us to take appropriate action and help reduce our response and resolution times. As part of their on-going training our Technicians have recently passed a number of Microsoft exams and are now fully qualified Microsoft Certified IT Professional’s (MCITP). This ensures that we can continue to provide our clients with a high quality remote and onsite support service.
We continue to provide a first-class ICT service for all of our clients which is a critical part of our business; our Mission Statement has not changed since the day we started trading:

We take great pride in knowing that despite these times of austerity we still have an extremely high client retention rate and have only lost one customer (property sector) due to the receivership of their business. All of our clients continue to trade and a large percentage of them are reporting strong results for the first quarter of 2011 and for the remainder of the year.
Our Future Plans
As a company we will continue to invest in the Microsoft Partner Network and on-going staff training. We have become a Microsoft Gold Partner for the 3rd consecutive year in a row, an achievement which we are very proud of.
We are working towards further competencies in Server and the Small Business Specialism to further increase our specialist skillset.
James Healey (Technical Director) has recently passed our Sage Accreditation exams. We are now an Accredited Sage Business Partner and recognised by Sage as specialists in the supply and installation of the Sage 50 product range.
Our plans for continued improvement to our level of service include obtaining the ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard and ISO 27001 the best practice standard for Information Security Management. We are a strong believer in our people and aim to achieve the Investors in People Award; an accreditation that defines good practice for the training and development of our staff.
