Air-IT’s Sales Director, Simon Leadley, will be taking part in a gruelling trek up the 20,000 foot Kilimanjaro Mountain this September to raise funds for leading childrens’ cancer charity, CLIC Sargent.
Simon will be joined by his partner, Sophie Robinson, as he hikes up the world’s largest free-standing mountain – braving Arctic conditions, extreme altitude and 11 days of sleeping on cliff edges.
‘It will be a true test of our mental and physical capabilities,’ says Simon. ‘But it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity and all in aid of CLIC Sargent, which is a fantastic charity.’
Simon Leadley, Sales Director
Simon and Sophie, who fly out on 19 September, are funding the full cost of their trip themselves, so every penny they raise will go straight to CLIC Sargent.
CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children, young people, and their families. They provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help them cope with cancer and get the most out of their life. The charity is there to support each child and their family on their journey with cancer, from initial diagnosis onwards and helping them to deal with the impact that this it has on their lives.
Everyone at Air-IT and MBC would like to wish both Simon and Sophie the best of luck in their travels and look forward to hearing their tales of conquering the mighty Kilimanjaro when they safely return from their trip.
