Based in the Park, NSRC is home to Nottingham’s Premier Squash League team and also houses the Air-IT sponsored Nottingham Squash Academy for talented youngsters.

About NSRC

Established in 1909, NSRC welcomes players of all ages and abilities. The Club boasts a 200 seat Championship court and nine additional courts, and has hosted a number of prestigious competitions.

These include the English Squash Racketball National Club Championships, the European Teams Championships, the British Open and the Nottingham Open Doubles. In 2014, NSRC will host the European Club Championships – cementing its position as one of the UK’s leading squash Clubs.

A Fully Managed IT Support Service

We’ll be providing NSRC with the fully managed IT support service they need to keep their systems and network running at peak performance. As well as proactively monitoring and supporting their systems, we’ll also be identifying and implementing the right IT infrastructure to meet the organisation’s growing needs and support their future plans.

As usual with a new support contract, our first task was to carry out a detailed health check, looking at their existing network, servers and PCs to find out how well they were working and carrying out necessary upgrades to get the systems up to speed.

One big change we’ve already made is to install a public wireless ‘hotspot’ with a high speed 20Mbps connection. This lets players and guests quickly and easily log in to a secure, reliable internet connection whilst they’re using the Club’s superb business and conference facilities.

An added dimension to the hotspot is that it captures the email address of everyone who uses it – a system known as ‘Captive Portal’ – enabling NSRC to send out targeted marketing campaigns to its visitors.

Going forward, we’ll soon be transferring the Club’s existing email service over to Air-IT’s Hosted Microsoft Exchange cloud based email solution. Based on powerful Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 technology, the hosted solution offers the same business class email, contacts and calendar services, but without the maintenance and upgrade costs associated with an onsite solution.

Our Manage-IT Package

For ongoing support, NSRC has chosen our popular Manage-IT package. This includes unlimited remote and telephone support from our fully trained Service Desk staff, plus any number of onsite visits from our experienced field engineers.

The Club has been allocated a dedicated Account Technician and Account Manager, who’ll take the time to understand their unique IT requirements and challenges so they can offer personal, tailored service.

And of course, we’ll be monitoring their systems and infrastructure remotely, 24/7, using our market leading remote monitoring and management solution. This enables us to immediately spot and rectify any potential issues before they impact on network performance.

Together with proactive maintenance, upgrades and updates, this will keep the Club’s infrastructure in great shape at all times.
