We’re delighted to announce that our Managing Director, Todd McQuilkin, has scooped the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the 2014 regional British Chambers of Commerce Business Awards.

Along with his fellow regional winners, Todd will now go forward to represent the East Midlands in the finals for the National Chamber Awards in November.
Everyone at Air IT is naturally very proud and excited about Todd’s win, which recognises his achievement in being instrumental to the ongoing growth and success of our business.
‘Air IT has come a long way since I set up the business back in 2005. I may be captain of the ship, but it’s my team that directs the sails.
I’m very lucky to have such a fantastic group of people working alongside me at Air IT – and this award is as much down to their knowledge, commitment and hard work as to my personal contribution to the business.’
About the Regional Chamber Awards
The regional British Chambers of Commerce Awards recognise the achievements of successful companies and business leaders from across the East Midlands. There were hundreds of entries from across the UK with a total of 80 winners selected across nine categories.
The regional awards are separate from their local counterparts, the Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, which also saw Air IT come away as winners in two categories this year.
Todd and the other eight East Midlands winners, who all hail from the counties of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, were presented with their awards on Thursday 30th October at the DNLCC’s Annual General Meeting, held at Thrumpton Hall, by newly sworn in Chamber President Liz Fothergill.

Chamber Chief Executive, George Croucher comments on the winners:
‘Congratulations to all the winners from Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, who will go on to represent the Chamber – and the region – at the BCC’s national awards in November.
It’s fantastic to see members of this Chamber achieve a clean sweep of awards for the whole region. The fact that all of the regional winners come from two of our three counties really demonstrates the strength of the business community here and reflects the key role these businesses play in helping drive the UK’s economy forward.’

Next Stop: The National Awards
Todd and his fellow regional winners will now progress to the national Chamber Awards, being held at the Pavilion at the Tower of London on Thursday 27th November. You can read about Todd’s visit to the awards below.
The awards are set to be a highlight of this year’s business calendar, bringing together 80 of the UK’s highest performing businesses and individuals in a celebration of success.
At the awards ceremony, the national winners of each of the nine categories will be announced, before the overall winner is presented with the prestigious title of Business of the Year and a £10,000 cash prize.
‘We’re really looking forward to the national awards and very proud to be representing the DNLCC and the East Midlands business community as a whole.
It would be amazing if Air IT were to win a national award – let alone Business of the Year! – and would really put the icing on the cake of what’s been an incredible year for all of us.’
Congratulations and Good Luck!
All the team at Air IT offer Todd our heartiest congratulations on his regional win and wish him the very best of luck in the national awards.
