We’re thrilled to announce that Acting Service Delivery Manager, Josh Turner, has been chosen as a finalist in the prestigious Nottingham Chamber Business Awards in the Young Person in Business category.
Widely respected by the business community, the annual Chamber Business Awards recognise and reward business excellence across the region.
Finalists were announced at the Nottingham Belfry hotel last month, where the East Midlands Chamber held a sponsors and finalists evening for the Nottinghamshire round of their 2015 Business Awards.
Awards cover 10 categories in total, including Josh’s Young Person in Business, and the Best Use of Technology and Small Business of the Year categories – both of which were previously won by Air-IT in 2014.
Air-IT Managing Director, Todd McQuilkin, was there to support and congratulate Josh on his achievement and to announce the finalists of the Best Use of Technology Award, which Air-IT are sponsoring this year.
Josh has come a long way since he joined us as an apprentice 4 years ago and has quickly progressed to become an integral and well respected member of our management team.
I’m delighted that his efforts have been recognised externally and wish him every success as finalist in Young Person in Business.
Full details of all finalists and sponsors can be found on the East Midlands Chamber website – Chamber Unveils 2015 Business Awards Finalists.
The Young Person in Business Award
Sponsored by The Money Shop, this award aims to recognise the significant contribution that a person under 30 can make to the success of a business.
Entry is open to dynamic individuals with a proven track record of success, at apprentice, young professional or business owner level.
Josh rises through the Air-IT ranks
Having rapidly risen through the ranks from apprentice to a management level position since the start of his career at Air-IT back in 2011, there’s no doubt Josh has the qualities needed to succeed in the Young Person in Business award.
He earned early recognition in 2012, when he was runner up in two highly prestigious local and national awards – the Nottingham Post Business Awards Apprentice of the Year and the Microsoft Apprentice of the Year Awards.
Since then, Josh has gone on to quickly progress within Air-IT to the position of Acting Service Delivery Manager – a role that requires him to manage a growing team of IT support technicians and engineers to ensure that the company continually delivers on its world class service standards.
Finalists Awards Ceremony
Winners of the Nottinghamshire Chamber Business Awards 2015 will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony being held at Goosedale Hall on Thursday 25th September.
Air-IT staff will be attending the black-tie gala event in force to support Josh and hopefully cheer him on to be crowned Young Person in Business for 2015.
Good Luck Josh!
Everyone at Air-IT / MBC is eagerly awaiting the results of the awards night and wish Josh and all other finalists the best of luck.
