We're extremely pleased to announce that our Robin Hood Half Marathon Corporate Team has raised over £3,000 for Nottingham Hospitals Charity and finished in 3rd place overall following race day on Sunday 27th September.

After months of hard training and with generous support from sponsors, the jointly named AdamsonJones & Air-IT team has raised over £3,000 for locally based Nottingham Hospitals Charity by taking part in the Robin Hood Half Marathon on Sunday 27th September.
James Healey, Technical Director at Air-IT comments:

Firstly, I’d like to say a big well done to the team. We’re extremely proud of achieving our 3rd place finish.
For us, it was all about giving back to the local community, so we’re extremely thankful to all our supporters for helping us to raise such a phenomenal amount in a short space of time.

Teaming up with AdamsonJones

Air-IT joined forces with runners from BioCity based Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys, AdamsonJones to form one of 25 teams representing local employers in the Nottingham Post Corporate Challenge, held as part of the annual Ikano Robin Hood Half Marathon.

AdamsonJones called upon members of their management team, including: Simon Cooper, Managing Director; Chris MacDonald, Patent Attorney; and Rachel Biggin, Marketing Manager.
They were joined by Air-IT technical and back-office staff including:

  • Anxhela Agaci – Business Administration Assistant
  • Sean Craven – Technical Apprentice
  • Alex Cook – Account Manager

The Nottingham Post Corporate Challenge

Our joint team of eight runners completed distances of 13.1 and 1.5 miles with the fastest two times in each race added together to produce an overall time.

An impressive time of just 3:38:50 earned the team a well-deserved spot on the podium and saw some fantastic personal bests beaten on the day.

Air-IT Technical Apprentice, Sean Craven came in first for Air-IT completing his first ever half marathon in an outstanding time of just 1:39:07, helping the team secure their third place podium position.

Sean was followed closely by AdamsonJones Patent Attorney, Chris MacDonald with a time of 1:39:42.

But AdamsonJones Marketing Manager, Rachel Biggin was our quickest half marathon team member finishing the 13.1 mile running tour of Nottingham in 1:38:15.

All team runners successfully completed the course, and had a great time getting involved.
