Air-IT Service Delivery Manager, Josh Turner was delighted to represent the East Midlands as a finalist for the Young Person in Business award category at the British Chamber of Commerce's (BCC) annual awards ceremony on Thursday 26th November.
Held at The Brewery in London, these prestigious awards brought together businesses from across the UK to recognise excellence in British business.
Over 500 people attended the glittering ceremony which was hosted by BBC Breakfast presenter, Steph McGovern.

Now in its 12th year, the awards ceremony is one of the showpiece events in the British business calendar.

Josh was among five other winners from the East Midlands region who were also celebrating as national finalists following regional success in six of the eight BCC category awards – testament to the strength of our local business community.
The Young Person in Business Award
Josh was put forward for the national finals after winning the Young Person in Business Award at the East Midlands Chamber Nottinghamshire Awards ceremony in September 2015, closely followed by a regional award in the same category with the BCC.

The accolades recognise the significant contribution that a person under the age of 30 can make to the success of a business.
Since joining Air-IT in 2011, Josh has quickly risen through the ranks after starting out as a Technical Apprentice.
His potential was recognised at an early stage in 2012 when he was nominated as a finalist for two highly prestigious local and national awards – the Nottingham Post Business Awards Apprentice of the Year and the Microsoft Apprentice of the Year Award.
Since then, he has gone on to progress to the position of Service Delivery Manager overseeing a growing team of IT Support staff to deliver Air-IT’s world-class service standards.

As one of seven finalists in the Young Person in Business category at the national finals, Josh was up against some tough competition and eventually came runner-up.
The winner was Katie Waddell, Owner and Co-founder of Spoon Street, for demonstrating clear growth potential for her self-serve frozen yoghurt business in Northern Ireland.

Josh has come a long way since joining Air-IT as an apprentice 4 years ago and has quickly progressed to become an integral and well respected member of our management team.
The recognition he’s received is extremely well deserved. Knowing how high the standards are, we’re extremley proud of his achievements despite coming away empty handed at the nationals.
