Microsoft Gold Authorised Education Partner (AEP)
The AEP accreditation adds further depth to our capabilities as a Microsoft Gold Partner, and means we are able to provide discounted Microsoft products to qualified users within the Education and certain not-for-profit markets within the UK.
To achieve our AEP status, we were required to meet certain criteria set by Microsoft. This included demonstrating our technical knowledge around Microsoft and its academic products, the provision of educational licensing, and our understanding of the education sectors unique IT needs.
We were also required to complete and pass a stringent test proving our ability to deliver specialist advice and IT services within the Education sector.

Anthony Salcito, Vice President of Education for Microsoft Corp.’s Worldwide Public Sector said:
By becoming AEPs, partners show themselves to be committed and trained in providing discounted Microsoft academic products to the education market.
This authorization, along with our other education partner initiatives, gives our partners recognition of their areas of expertise and our academic customers the confidence that they are buying from academic IT specialists.
About the new Microsoft AEP programme
Introduced in 2015, the AEP programme replaces the previous Microsoft Authorised Education Reseller (AER) certification, and recognises the significance of existing expertise via Microsoft Partner competencies already gained.
Since we already hold the Gold Midmarket Solution Provider competency, we’re pleased to qualify as a Gold AEP, meaning we’ve been recognised for supporting the varying IT requirements of different market types.
Furthermore, we’re proud to be named as the only partner in Nottingham to hold both of these particular Microsoft Gold accreditations, reinforcing our position among the top 1% of Microsoft Partners worldwide.
Air-IT Technical Director, James Healey comments:
We’re incredibly pleased to be one of just a few IT companies in Nottingham and the East Midlands to hold the prestigious Microsoft Gold AEP certification.
It shows our commitment and specialism in the academic IT marketplace, and enables us to help qualifying establishments gain significant discounts and to maximise the full potential from their technology investments.
