Dexter Blackstock and Air-IT Marketing Director, Paul Judge
At the start of the 2015/16 football season, Air-IT pledged to donate £100 to the club’s official charity partner, Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, for every goal scored by Blackstock over the course of the campaign.
With the striker finishing the season on four, we decided to round the donation up to £500 in recognition of his two goals in pre-season. We also went on to raffle his home shirt raising another £100 for the local charity.
Maggie Ross MBE, Fundraising Director at Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, expressed her thanks to Air-IT, saying:
Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire is very grateful to Air-IT for raising money for us whilst we were Nottingham Forest Football Club’s Charity of the year. It was such a fun way to raise funds!
This money means we can continue to support older people from all backgrounds and communities in our City and County by promoting health and wellbeing.
The support from organisations such as Air-IT is vital for the work we carry out. Businesses and communities cannot succeed without the other.

A highlight of our sponsorship included the opportunity to meet the first team squad at the Player Sponsors Lunch in May.
At this stage, Marketing Director, Paul Judge was then able to co-present a £500 cheque with Blackstock to Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Air-IT raffle Blackstock home shirt for charity
After meeting Blackstock and receiving his signed first team no.23 shirt, we were then able to raffle it off raising another £100.
The lucky winner was ardent Forest supporter Oliver Whaley – a big Nottingham Forest fan whose favourite player is Dexter Blackstock!

We’re passionate Forest fans here at Air-IT so were delighted to support the club and to help raise further funds for their charity Age UK, who do some fantastic work locally.
We were hoping Blackstock would play more throughout the season and score a few more. However, we were thrilled to add to the total by raffling off his match-worn shirt and were pleased that it went to a good home with a big Dexter fan.
We’d like to congratulate Oliver on his prize, and wish Nottingham Forest, the players and supporters the very best of luck in the forthcoming 2016/17 season.
