After coming runners-up last year, we’re delighted to announce that Air IT has been crowned Top Support Team of the Year in IT Service Week 2017, whilst Service Desk Team Leader, Alex Nicol came runner-up as our Service Desk Superstar.

IT Service Week 2017
This year IT service week took place from Monday 2nd to Friday 6th October.
Held annually by the Service Desk Institute (SDI), the themed event encourages service desk teams worldwide to take part in a variety of activities, including asking customers to vote for exceptional service by nominating their Top IT Service Desk and Service Desk Superstar.
Now a popular fixture on the Air IT calendar we were excited to find out that the 2017 theme was an ‘out of this world’ space theme!
Technology Tom gets in the IT Service Week spirit
During IT Service Week, we took part in a number of fun activities including decorating the office and hiding SDI mascot Merv, who made friends with our very own Technology Tom.
We also held a dress down day to raise further funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, after our coffee morning the previous week.
Behind all the fun, the initiative aims to encourage IT service desks around the world to adopt and embrace globally recognised best practice standards in order to raise service quality.
Throughout the week, our service desk team were asking all of our clients and IT Support users to give us their vote and nominate the individual staff member who they thought had given exceptional service.

Coming runners up in the 2016 competition we are exceptionally proud to be announced as ‘IT Support Team of the year 2017’. Winning this award based on votes alone is further testament of the world class service that our fantastic team offer every day.
In addition to winning as a company we are very pleased for Service Desk Team Leader, Alex Nicol who came runner up in the close run for the ‘Service Desk Superstar’ award.
