Air-IT have been shortlisted for the Best Small Enterprise Managed Service Provider and Service Desk Manager of the Year in this year’s coveted IT Service & Support Awards as held by the Service Desk Institute (SDI).
These awards recognise excellence, professionalism and innovation within the IT service and support industry worldwide. Now in their 23rd year, they aim to reward the outstanding achievements of people and teams for the contribution they make to the success of their business. Air-IT’s Managing Director, James Healey said:

Best Small Enterprise Managed Service Provider Award
This award recognises IT service desks that help external customers achieve their business goals. Finalists are shortlisted for demonstrating a team understanding of the importance of IT service and support and for delivering fantastic customer service that plays a vital role in ensuring the company’s strategic objectives and vision are met.
Service Desk Manager of the Year Award
The Service Desk Manager of the Year Award recognises those who inspire and enable their team to deliver an exceptional level of quality and service excellence. As an SDI certified Service Desk Manager, Jamie Hissitt oversees the daily operations of service delivery at Air-IT so both of these nominations are a fantastic testament to his ongoing hard work and dedication.
The judging process and next steps
To enter these awards, entrants must undergo an in-depth application process starting with a written submission detailing the reasons why they meet the category criteria. After being reviewed by the panel of independent judges, we were delighted to make it through to the shortlist for both awards. Next we were invited to give a further 30-minute presentation to the judges followed by a 20 minute Q&A to provide additional evidence for our place in both categories. Now through to the final round of the process for both awards, we were delighted to welcome the judges to The Technology Hub on Monday 12th February for observation and our final chance to show them why we deserve to be crowned winners.
These awards are one of the most brilliant opportunities to highlight the best service desks in the industry globally, and Air-IT deserves massive congratulations for reaching the final in not just one, but two, categories. This year both categories were extremely competitive and the team did a great job to reach the shortlist and then make it through to the final three in Best Small MSP and Service Desk Manager Of The Year.

The IT Service & Support Awards will be announced at a glittering gala dinner which is due to take place on Tuesday 13th March at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham. The evening itself is set to attract over 600 people from the global IT service and support community, so we’d like to wish Jamie and the Air-IT service desk team the very best of luck on the night.
