After being shortlisted as finalists, Air IT have narrowly missed out in two categories at this year’s IT Service & Support Awards which were held at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham on Tuesday 13th March as part of the Service Desk Institute (SDI) Conference 2018.

This year, SDI 2018 was held in Birmingham and took place over three days from 12th – 14th March. A must-attend event for service desk leaders, the Conference and Awards were attended far and wide by members of the industry’s worldwide community. As well as attending as finalists in the awards, Air-IT were delighted to be involved as an event partner by exhibiting to showcase our specialist support and consultancy services for IT managers and teams. Now in their 23rd year, the IT Service & Support Awards are recognised internationally as one of the industry’s most prestigious business events. Showcasing 10 categories in total, they are designed to celebrate and reward the outstanding achievements of service desk professionals and teams for the contribution they make to the success of their business. Although we were naturally disappointed to come runners-up, we’re incredibly proud to have reached the final stages in two of SDI’s world-renowned award categories. Amongst all entries, the standard was incredibly high. Whilst it’s not possible to name everyone, I would like to congratulate all the winners and runners-up on their achievements. More importantly, I’d like to recognise and thank everyone at Air IT for their continued hard work and dedication. The process has been an incredible team effort and without their commitment, we simply could not have made it so far in this esteemed process.

But before winners could be announced, the finalist’s fun videos were shown. The Best Small Enterprise Managed Service Desk of the Year Award was second up, and we were delighted with the reception that our video ‘Tech Tom – Licence to Serve’ received.
