We are immensely proud to renew our cyber security certifications, under both the government backed Cyber Essentials (CE) certification scheme and the internationally-regarded IASME Governance standard.
Such esteemed certifications demonstrate our commitment to provide excellent cyber security services and show the emphasis that we place on safeguarding our systems and client’s data.
More about IASME and Cyber Essentials
The IASME Governance standard was established on the basis of international best practices. The UK Government regard it as the most comprehensive cyber security standard, as it aims to raise awareness of cyber safety in businesses. It also promotes proactivity in the face of internet-borne attacks. Similarly, the Cyber Essentials certification is an essential aspect of the UK Government’s plan ‘to make the UK one of the most secure places to do business in cyberspace’. It has become a minimum requirement for anyone bidding on Government contracts. The certification also helps to lower the risk of a cyber security incident and further protects our systems and data.
Gaining these certifications
We were accredited with the Cyber Essentials certification following a comprehensive and impartial evaluation, which considered the five key aspects of the programme. By implementing these five controls, it’s proven to risk the reduce of a cyber-attack by up to 80%. To gain certification, we proved our understanding of the infrastructure that safeguards data and systems, while displaying our knowledge of how to implement such measures. The IASME Governance standard was achieved by completing multiple assessments, adhering to IASME guidelines and the Government’s Cyber Essentials scheme. We also proved our expertise by undertaking a GDPR analysis. Sam Reed, Chief Technology Officer and Head of our cyber security division, Air Sec said:
We are delighted to have renewed our certifications. Both IASME and Cyber Essentials underline Air IT’s commitment to cyber security and reassure our clients that we are continuing to take the necessary steps to protect to protect our systems and client data. In light of the recent emphasis on GDPR, achieving the IASME Governance standard and GDPR assessment, demonstrates how effective our overall approach towards cyber security is.
