The Air-IT team was delighted to participate in an old-school style sports day at the Derby Business Games 2018 last week.

The Air-IT team at the Derby Business Games

Here at Air-IT, we love sport – so we jumped at the chance to go head-to-head with over 30 other local businesses and organisations last week.
After dusting off their running shoes, the Air-IT team headed over to the University of Derby to take part in the annual sporting games, which is organised by Choose Sports and Timms Solicitors.

Managing Director, James Healey, 2nd Line Service Desk & Field Engineer, Adam Hollingsworth, and Business Development Manager, Alex Cook, show off their eggspertise.

Now in its second year, the Derby Business Games is a fantastic opportunity for local organisations to get together and have some (competitive!) fun. With a variety of old-school games to take part in, including rounders and the classic egg-and-spoon race, it was great to see many of our fellow Marketing Derby Bondholders also in attendance.

The team were transported back to their childhood when they competed in a number of fun sporting challenges, and tested their coordination in the three-legged race.

Projects Engineer, Ben Lee, with Service Desk Team Leader, Dan Conway – and Client Services Support Executive, Armando Agaci, with 1st Line Service Desk Engineer, Aiden Hardy, join forces as they compete in the three-legged race.

Air-IT’s eight-man-strong team was made up of James Healey (Managing Director), Aiden Hardy (1st Line Service Desk Engineer), Alex Cook (Business Development Manager), Armando Agaci (Client Services Support Executive), Ben Lee (Projects Engineer), Dan Conway (Service Desk Team Leader), Adam Hollingsworth (2nd Line Service Desk & Field Engineer), and Jamie Hissit (Senior Projects Engineer).

Business Development Manager, Alex Cook, Projects Engineer, Ben Lee, and Managing Director, James Healey, were on the ball as ever during rounders.

The afternoon was finished off with a tug of war finale. Although we didn’t take any medals home this time, we had a fantastic day – and we’re already looking forward to next year!
