After being shortlisted as a finalist in this year’s East Midlands Chamber Business Awards, Air IT has narrowly missed out on the Commitment to People Development Award 2018. The team was also delighted to sponsor and present the Business Improvement Through Technology Award at the ceremony.

The East Midlands Chamber Business Awards

The annual awards, which are organised and run by the East Midlands Chamber, recognise and celebrate local businesses across the region. They are the only awards that are held by business for business, and the winners have the chance to compete in regional and national rounds at the British Chambers of Commerce Awards.

With 51 finalists in total, and 12 prestigious awards up for grabs on the night, this year’s standards were the highest yet.

As a Patron of the East Midlands Chamber, we were delighted to attend this year’s awards ceremony and support organisations operating in the local area.

The Awards Ceremony

This year’s black-tie event was held on Friday 14th September, at the Belfry Hotel in Nottinghamshire.

The evening was hosted by ITV presenter Sameena Ali-Khan and guests enjoyed a three-course meal, entertainment and an after-dinner dancefloor. There was also plenty of opportunities for attendees to network with other local organisations throughout the evening.

Commitment to People Development Finalist

Despite being pipped to the post, we are delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist in this year’s Commitment to People Development Award, which recognises businesses that are making a clear and continual commitment to the progression of their employees.

Although we are of course disappointed to come runners up, we’re incredibly proud to have reached the final stages for the well-respected Commitment to People Development Award 2018.

With Community being one of our four company values, we place great emphasis on offering our employees not only a fantastic place of work but also opportunities for internal development, growth and recognition, including our quarterly Great People Awards that celebrate and recognise the hard work of the Air IT team.

Being one of just four businesses to be shortlisted in this prestigious award is fantastic recognition of our continued success, growth and the dedication we have to our team.

Business Improvement Through Technology Sponsor

Air IT was delighted to sponsor the Business Improvement Through Technology Award for the second year in a row – and to announce the winner as Forsyth Barnes.

This award recognises businesses who have made significant improvements to their organisation through the use of latest technology and, after winning the award ourselves in 2014, we were delighted to sponsor the award again this year.

The standard of this year’s entries was incredibly high, and we would like to say a big well done to runners up Betterlanguages.com and Duncan & Toplis.

Congratulations!

We would like to say a huge congratulations to Forsyth Barnes and to all other winners and runners-up, and good luck to those who have made it through to the regional and national heats!
