Air IT has been announced as a finalist in both the Best Small Enterprise Managed Service Provider and Service Desk Manager of the Year categories in this year’s Service Desk Institute (SDI) Awards.

The Air IT team recently received their 3-Star trophy from SDI Chairman, Paul Rodrigues

The IT Service & Support Awards

The IT Service & Support Awards, which are held annually by the Service Desk Institute (SDI), recognise the achievements of Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and service desks from all over the world.

After being shortlisted for both the Best Enterprise Small Enterprise MSP and Service Desk Manager of the Year Awards, we had our eyes on the prize as we headed to Birmingham for the judging day in November.

We gave two presentations (one for each award) in front of a panel of independent judges – and are delighted to have now reached the final stages in both categories.

At last year’s ceremony we narrowly missed out on the same two awards, so there’s everything to play for this year!

Finalist: Best Small Enterprise MSP

We are delighted to be a finalist in the highly coveted Best Small Enterprise MSP Award for the second year running.

As one of just three to make it through to the final rounds, we are now very much looking forward to welcoming the SDI judges back to the Air IT Technology Hub for the next stage of the judging process in January.

During their visit, the judges will observe the Air IT Service Desk, and we’ll give a 30-minute presentation detailing why we deserve to win the award.

As well as this, we will prepare a fun 2-minute finalist’s video that will be screened at the Awards Dinner in March. With last year’s video – “Tech Tom, A Licence to Serve” – such a success, our plans for this year’s video are already well underway!

Finalist: Service Desk Manager of the Year

As if one award wasn’t enough, we are over the moon that Service Delivery Manager, Paige Smith, has reached the final stages of the Service Desk Manager of the Year Award.

After wowing the panel at the judging day in November, Paige is one of just three Service Desk Managers to be up for this impressive award.

The SDI Conference and Awards Dinner

The winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner, taking place on Tuesday 26th March at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole.

As well as attending the black-tie ceremony, we will also be exhibiting and showcasing our services at the SDI 2019 Conference, which brings members of the service desk community together from all over the world.

We are honoured to be finalists in not one but two incredible categories in the SDI’s IT Service & Support Awards. I am so proud of the team for this excellent achievement, and it really is a testament to everyone’s hard work.

We’ve come a long way since being runners-up last year and, now with a 3-Star SDI certification under our belts, we’re stronger than ever and hoping to take home the title this time round.

Regardless of the outcome at the Awards Dinner in March, we’re all looking forward to what promises to be a fantastic celebration on the night!

James Healey, Managing Director at Air IT

Good luck!

We would like to wish Paige and the Air IT Service Desk, as well as all of the other finalists, the very best of luck!
