Congratulations to Projects Engineer, Ben Lee, who has successfully achieved the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Routing and Switching certification.
Ben joined the Air IT team as a Remote Support Technician back in 2012. Keen to develop his knowledge and skills, he quickly became a fully-qualified Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) after just one year in the job.
Now with years of experience under his belt, Ben has taken this one step further by successfully completing the CCNP Routing and Switching certification after months of hard work.
As Air IT is a Cisco Select partner, our employees benefit from access to best-in-class products and training resources so we can best serve and meet the needs of our clients.
The CCNP Routing and Switching certification
The CCNP Routing and Switching certification is a training programme for network engineers who specialise in building and managing network infrastructures and solutions.
The course comprises of three exams – each designed to test the engineer’s knowledge of routing, switching and troubleshooting in a Cisco enterprise network environment. Topics covered include:
- Network Principles
- Infrastructure Security and Services
- VPN Technologies
Preparation for the exams entailed countless hours of lab work, with a large amount of time spent building network technologies in a virtual environment. In addition to this, Ben was required to undertake textbook study, video learning courses and detailed web research.
Thanks to his new accreditation, Ben now has the skillset to plan, implement, verify and troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise networks – as well as to work alongside specialists on advanced security, voice, wireless and video solutions.
Employee development plays a huge part in our culture at Air IT. We’re committed to investing in our team and offering them on-going training to advance their skills, experience and careers. Ben’s latest exam success is a great example of this as he continues to grow with the company. Well done, Ben, and keep up the great work!
