What is End of Life?

From Tuesday 9th July 2019, Microsoft will no longer be supporting SQL Server 2008. This means there’ll be no new technical support or security updates and patches released.

Any infrastructures and applications running the system after support has ended will be unprotected and could be at high risk of cyber security threats, making businesses vulnerable to malicious attacks, malware, viruses and data theft.
