We’re delighted to share further news of Air IT’s expansion in the West Midlands, following the recent rebrand and integration of Coventry-based Nexus GS and Birmingham-based Microtrading.

Expanding into the West Midlands

Expansion to date

Since September last year, Air IT has joined forces with six like-minded businesses as part of our ongoing plan to provide a local service to SMEs nationwideTwo of these businesses are our Birmingham branch (formerly known as Microtrading) who joined us in September 2020, and our Coventry branch (formerly known as Nexus GS) who joined the Group in December.

The integration of the new businesses is well underway, and we are already seeing the positives. Clients can now benefit from additional services and a wider variety of skillsets, whilst increased demand for service means more opportunities for our people to progress and the creation of new jobs up and down the UK.

A meeting of the East and West

In recent months we have been taking steps to unite our East and West Midlands teams and operationsincluding all of our systemsprocesses, communications and branding. Our technical team have been hard at work behind the scenes ensuring that everything runs smoothly and our new colleagues and clients are really able to feel like part of the Air IT family.

The final and most obvious step of the integration is the rebrand, wherein both Microtrading and Nexus GS have recently retired their name and branding and taken on that of Air ITWhilst both businesses now have a new look, our clients can rest assured that they will continue to receive the same high-quality service from the local team they have come to know and trust.

John Whitty, CEO of Air IT, said:

Our integration with Microtrading and Nexus GS has gone very smoothly and we are already seeing the benefits of having additional talented colleagues on hand to help us serve our clients. I am confident that joining forces will be beneficial all round, and that both companies – including clients and staff – will flourish as part of the Air IT Group. The rebrand is the final piece of the puzzle, helping us truly come together as one company, and we’re excited for what the future holds as we continue the process with the rest of our partners.

Andrew Penlington, Regional Director of Air IT Birmingham (formerly Microtrading), said:

After four decades as Microtrading it’s a significant change, but the team are excited to start our new chapter as Air IT by taking on their signature orange. Though we might look different from now on, we are pleased that there will be no changes for our clients in terms of the everyday support and high standards of service they expect from us.

Justin Huckfield, Regional Director of Air IT Coventry (formerly Nexus GS), said:

Swapping the Nexus GS brand for that of Air IT is a huge transformation for us, but one that marks significant growth of the business. Becoming part of the Air IT Group has been a smooth transition and we are positive about taking this next step together which will further enhance the service we provide for clients.
