The Role

Due to continued success, Air IT have an exciting opportunity for a Client Onboarding Engineer to join our Service Delivery Team. As a Client Onboarding Engineer you will be responsible for onboarding all new managed support clients, ensuring a smooth transition from Sales to Service Delivery. You will be responsible for carrying out an in-depth technical audit of the client’s infrastructure and producing and presenting technical recommendations to the client. You will be responsible for gathering information, creating knowledge documentation and ensuring the Service Delivery team have everything required to effectively support the client going forward. There will also be a responsibility to provide user training and support to ensure that the onboarding runs as planned.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver onboarding projects in a timely manner, meeting agreed timescales
  • Carryout in-depth technical audits
  • Create and present technical recommendation documentation to the customer
  • Provide a high standard of user training and user support
  • Set up and maintain the appropriate client site documentation for each designated client
  • Ensure an effective handover to the Service Delivery Team
  • Provide outstanding customer service to a vast client base
  • Work in accordance with company values, policies, procedures and standards

 

Essential Skills and Experience

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced IT Engineer from a Managed Service Provider background. You will be a motivated, natural problem solver with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As the first point of contact for new clients you will need to be an effective communicator with a passion for providing outstanding customer service.

  • Previous experience as an IT engineer for a Managed Service Provider
  • Strong customer focus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of installing and supporting server hardware
  • Experience of setting up and supporting mobile devices
  • Knowledge and experience of phone systems such as 3CX and hosted VoIP systems
  • Excellent problem solving and customer service skills
  • Current and valid driving licence
  • Flexibility with working hours
  • Willingness to travel
  • Experience with the following technologies:
    • Virtualisation Technologies and Environments
    • Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
    • Microsoft Exchange Server
    • Microsoft Windows Hyper-V
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Office 365
    • StorageCraft Backup Software
    • Datto Backup Software
    • Router and firewall troubleshooting
