The Role

Due to continued success, Air IT has an immediate need for an experienced Comms Account Manager to join our Client Services team. As a Comms Account Manager at Air IT you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of communications clients, building lasting, professional relationships. You will be the first point of contact for your customers’ communications needs, identifying the best solutions for their business and providing expert advice. The role is varied and demanding, from day one you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of accounts ensuring client retention and proactively identifying opportunities for growth.

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced Account Manager from and IT and Communications background. You will have a vast knowledge of communications and mobile solutions and a proven record of managing accounts. You will be driven and have a passion for providing outstanding customer service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of Comms clients, building and maintaining lasting professional relationships.
  • Quote and negotiate for equipment and services that are a best fit for the client
  • Provide presale advise and support to clients
  • Exceed customer expectations with a proactive, perceptive approach
  • Identify profitable opportunities with existing clients
  • Further extend the client base by actively seeking new opportunities, and work with sales team to win new business.
  • Identify the dates of client contract renewals and to undertake appropriate sales activities to encourage renewal and/or upgrades
  • Work with all departments to ensure outstanding customer service from end to end
  • Manage supplier relationships, in order to ensure the best prices are obtained for clients


You’ll need…

  • Experience working for an IT & Communications company
  • Experience of managing a vast portfolio of clients and driving sales
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Previous experience with a wide variety of Comms/Mobile technologies
  • Knowledge of on-premises/cloud voice products and technologies (i.e. SIP, ISDN, 3CX, HVS or similar)
  • Knowledge of data products and technologies (i.e. ADSL, FTTC, Fibre Ethernet, MPLS)
  • Knowledge of business mobile telephone sales processes/tariffs
  • A current and valid UK driving licence
