Connectivity is integral to IT
There isn’t really a clear boundary between communications and IT in terms of business needs.
In telecoms, technologies like VoIP and Unified Communications piggy-back on traditional IT technologies. The wide range of Cloud services – applications, data sharing, and so on – all depends on reliable connectivity.
Whether it’s Internet connectivity you need, secure connectivity to suppliers or customers, or building a wide area network linking your organisation’s sites, it makes sense to work with someone who has complete expertise.
Our broadband and connectivity services
We aim to make our broadband and connectivity solutions affordable, reliable and scalable, underpinned with the breadth of expertise and highest quality support available.
We offer a range of options for your business, depending on your connectivity requirements and the available infrastructure in your area.
Here are some of the solutions we offer
Standard Business Broadband
Our standard business Broadband uses a traditional copper analogue phone line to enable internet access. It’s used by small and medium sized businesses, including home-based companies, to access the internet, run email applications and support less intensive cloud services.
We offer a range of fast, flexible and cost-effective packages with priority Internet connectivity using ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+, Bonded ADSL or SDSL.
Our packages can be tailored to your needs and budget.
Ethernet First Mile (EFM)
EFM is an extremely fast, cost-effective and resilient option for small and medium sized businesses that need a large bandwidth or have outgrown standard Broadband.
It uses bundles of copper pairs bonded together, making it faster and more resilient than traditional connections.
Our EFM packages offer guaranteed minimum speeds from 2Mbps to 35Mbps, supported by Service Level Agreements and 24/7 monitoring by our in-house technical support team.
Fibre Optic Broadband
Fibre optic Broadband brings the benefits of superfast, highly resilient connectivity within the reach of ordinary businesses.
It’s often seen as the next step up for businesses that have outgrown a traditional Broadband connection, but don’t need an uncontended line.
Fibre optic services enable much greater collaboration between office locations, remote workers and business partners utilisitng FFTC and FTTP technology.
It’s a high quality, enterprise-class service that meets the ever-increasing connectivity demands of the modern business, helping you get more from your connectivity than ever before.
Wireless Fibre Optic Broadband
Wireless Fibre is the perfect solution for businesses struggling with slow connection speeds, but with limited options for faster connectivity.
It uses fixed, point to point airborne communications to send wireless signals, greatly reducing installation costs compared to other solutions such as leased lines and Ethernet First Mile (EFM)
Ideal for businesses in rural areas or at the edge of telephone exchange boundaries, Wireless Fibre offers fast and reliable connection speeds of up to 20Mbps at an affordable price.
The service is highly efficient, remaining effective even in bad weather conditions.
Please note services are subject to an initial site survey to assess coverage in your area since Wireless Fibre is not available in all areas of Nottinghamshire.
Our communications division MBC provides SIMs and Dongles for phones and devices that deliver superfast Internet access on the move, including 4G capability.
We also offer stand alone devices and mobile call packages offering your business cost-effective and superfast mobile internet solutions.
Leased lines are dedicated, private connections that offer unrivalled security and resilience and superfast upload/download speeds of up to 10Gbps, supported by Service Level Agreements.
Leased lines can either connect your premises to the internet, or provide a private link between buildings connecting two sites within a 25km radius.
They’re an ideal solution if your company relies heavily on fast, uninterrupted connectivity, and can be used for any combination of voice, data, video and internet traffic.
Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) lines or trunks let you use your data connection to replace or work alongside your traditional business phone lines.
Your calls are routed over the internet and the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology. This enables free calls between linked office sites and significantly reduces your line rental costs.
SIP trunks are an efficient option that converges voice and data traffic over a single network connection, potentially reducing your telephony costs.
Virtual Private Networks (VPN, IPVPN)
Our Virtual Private Networks (VPN, IPVP N) service’s offer secure connectivity between remote locations and your office infrastructure delivering safe access to your information, storage and other features.
Wide Area Networks (WAN)
Transparent connections between your sites to ensure fast, reliable, secure and seamless functionality regardless of which building you happen to be in.
