Both Air-IT and MBC are RSViP members and regularly attend their events, so we jumped at the chance to co-sponsor their first Social of 2014.

About RSViP

RSViP Business Network was set up by Nottingham businesswoman and event manager, Fiona Duncan, with the aim of creating a more informal business networking experience for local firms.

RSViP now has more than 150 members, ranging from SMEs to corporate enterprises, across a variety of different industries.

Members are invited to attend after-hours Business Network Socials each month, where they can connect with other local businesses in relaxed surroundings.

Sponsoring the Social

As co-sponsors, Air-IT and MBC set up a joint exhibition stand to showcase our range of fully managed IT and communications services.

Despite the wet weather and the lure of a Forest match across the way (moved to the same date at the last minute!), the Business Network Social was well-attended, with more than 90 businesses from the Nottingham area coming along.

Air-IT Marketing Director, Paul Judge comments:

‘It was a fantastic event to sponsor and everyone had a very enjoyable evening. Air-IT and MBC had some great exposure to leading local companies and we made some valuable new contacts.

It was great to see such a wide range of business types being represented and the event’s relaxed atmosphere proved to be a highly effective ice-breaker.’

Special Events

Attendees, including a number of Air-IT and MBC clients, were greeted with a glass of fizz on arrival at The Riverbank’s Gallery function room, and snacked on delicious canapés during the open networking session.

Later on, there was a special treat in store, as the event’s guests of honour, 2012 Olympic stars, slalom canoeists Etienne Stott and Tim Baillie, arrived to show off their gold medals.

And the evening just kept getting better for one guest, Sam Bowery of SB Consulting, when he was announced the lucky winner of the business card prize draw held on the Air-IT / MBC stand.

Sam was presented with a Nokia Lumia 610, a popular Windows smartphone. Congratulations, Sam!
