The Air-IT team and guests with Carlton Town mascot ‘Miller Mouse’
A fantastic summers evening of football was enjoyed by Air-IT / MBC staff and guests, along with the 300 strong crowd of local supporters who had come along to watch the game at Carlton Town FC’s Stoke Lane Ground.
Having previously sponsored the club’s Evo-Stik League game against Coalville last season, we had no doubt it would be another fantastic evening watching ‘the Millers’, and a great way to support local football.

A game of two halves – Carlton v Mansfield
Carlton used the pre-season friendly as an opportunity to look at some potential new signings for their upcoming season in the Evo-Stik 1st Division South, whilst the Stags gave match time to some of their rising academy players in a test of two promising young sides.
An evenly contested 1st half
In an evenly contested first half both teams cancelled each other out with few clear cut chances. Carlton made a number of substitutions at half time and chose to change to their new blue and white kit.
After the restart the Millers looked much stronger and came out of the blocks at full pelt. The Stag’s were on the back foot for most of the half with Carlton dominating play and finally breaking through with a goal from debutant, Richard Fletcher, late on which sealed the victory 1 – 0.

Man of the Match
As match night sponsors, we were asked to pick the Man of the Match – a hard but unanimous decision made by the Air-IT / MBC team.
Marketing Director, Paul Judge was pleased to present the award to Carlton Town debutant, number 7, Tom whose shirt certainly proved lucky after his outstanding performance on the pitch.
Man of the Match Tom No. 7
I’d like to thank Mick and the club for their hospitality once again. It’s always a pleasure to support the Millers, there’s so much passion and excitement around the place.
Another fantastic performance tonight by the team who dominated the second half and were unlucky not to score more and definitely should have had a penalty!
Supporting local sports
At Air-IT and MBC, we’ve always had a genuine interest in supporting local sports and are involved in numerous sponsorship deals and local initiatives covering Squash, Rugby, Cricket, Golf and Football.
And we’re pleased to confirm that we’ve agreed to support Carlton Town further with some pitch side advertising for their forthcoming 2015/16 season in the Evo-Stik 1st Division South.
The Millers on the attack
We’d like to wish the Millers the best of luck throughout the new season which starts on 15th August when they play Sheffield FC away.
