Air-IT Nottingham team members L-R: Captain Eddie Charlton, Chris Fuller, Player Manager Mark Fuller, Owain Taylor and Hana Ramadan
The Premier Squash League (PSL) is a highly prestigious international league, attracting some of the world’s top professional players and showcasing the very best the sport has to offer.
Named after our company, the Air-IT Nottingham PSL team play out of the Nottingham Squash and Racquets Club (NSRC) based in the Park area of the city.
As keen supporters of the sport, we’d be thrilled to see the team secure a much sought playoff spot this season after narrowly missing out for the last two years running.
2014/15 PSL season round-up
Despite winning 7 of their 10 games Air-IT Nottingham lost out at the last game of the season falling short of the playoffs by just 9 points.
Player Manager, Mark Fuller is determined to make sure history doesn’t repeat itself this season. He comments:
I’m really excited about the 2015/16 season – our players will fight tooth and nail to win every match. And with the fantastic home support behind us I hope to take the team all the way.

Leading further local PSL support
Air-IT have been instrumental in helping to secure further support from other local businesses who want to back the team this season.
All About Tourism, Training for Business and MIES Building Services have joined as new sponsors this year and recently enjoyed their first home game of the season with a 3-2 win against Pontefract in October.

The match also saw the relaunch of the Park Business Club which offers sponsors and guests the chance to enjoy an evening of world class squash whilst networking with other local businesses. A buffet was generously provided by sponsors The Walton Hotel.
BBC Radio Nottingham presenter Mark Dennison also made his debut as match night MC and compere following the departure of GEM 106 Breakfast show host, Sam Pinkham who was unable to take part this season.

Air-IT Managing Director, Todd McQuilkin summarises:
Over the past two seasons we’ve been proud to lead a fantastic group of sponsors who together have helped secure the future of the team and we’re thrilled to continue in this role.
As a Nottingham-based business we’re proud to support our local sporting community, so it’s an absolute pleasure to sponsor this hugely talented team of mostly home-grown players.

Air-IT Nottingham’s PSL line up
Air-IT Nottingham’s 2015/16 season squad is largely unchanged retaining a number of key players such as rising star Emma Beddoes who went undefeated in all PSL appearances last season.

Ranked 11th in the world, Emma re-joins team members Player Manager Mark Fuller, team Captain Eddie Charlton, Chris Fuller, Ollie Holland, Alan Clyne, Owain Taylor and newcomers Matthew Broadberry and Hana Ramadan.
Air-IT Nottingham’s PSL team are unusual in that most of their players are local home-grown talents having risen through the junior ranks at NSRC, unlike rival clubs who tend to buy in their top squash stars.
Home and away – the 2015/16 season so far
At the mid-season break following Round 5, Air-IT Nottingham sit 4th in Division A. It follows a rough start to their playoff campaign so far…
A close 3-2 loss in Round 1 saw current PSL champions Duffield take the win, and reversed in Round 2 with Air-IT Nottingham triumphing 3-2 over a strong Pontefract side.
Round 3 saw an under strength Nottingham side narrowly beaten 3-2 at Coolhurst away on Tuesday 10th November – proving a blow to early playoff hopes.
Tuesday 24th November brought Round 4 and Nottingham’s last home game before the mid-season break vs Birmingham Lions, resulting in a 4-1 loss and a place at the bottom of the table.
Round 5 away on Tuesday 8th December marked the midway point of the season vs joint league leaders Everards Leicester. The match saw another close 3-2 defeat, but with a series of 3-2 results elsewhere narrowing point gaps across the table, Nottingham managed to climb back up to 4th place.
