We were extremely pleased to celebrate the official opening of our new offices at Interchange 25 Business Park with a special event and ceremonial ribbon cutting by Mayor of Erewash, Councillor Mary Hopkinson on the evening of Wednesday 6th December, 2017.
Air IT took great pleasure in inviting clients, suppliers, fellow businesses and sports personalities from the local clubs we sponsor to celebrate our successful move to Interchange 25 Business Park in Sandiacre and to hear Managing Director, James Healey announce that moving forward the new headquarters of the company would be known as ‘The Technology Hub’.
The building looked amazing lit up for the occasion with on brand up-lighting and a unique projection from the Derby Quad TECH:SQUAD playing over the entrance of the offices as guests arrived. Using the very latest in digital mapping, the guys from TECH:SQUAD worked closely with the Air IT marketing team to come up with a bespoke animation that reflected our company mission and values. The footage also starred company mascot ‘Technology Tom’ raising more than a few comments and smiles.
Visitors were given a warm welcome and spent the earlier part of the evening networking with staff and other guests while enjoying festive canapes and prosecco. Staff proudly showed guests around the new offices on private tours including the service desk and staff breakout area, ‘The Hub’. Everyone was later invited outside for the more formal part of the celebration. CEO Todd McQuilkin opened proceedings with a reflection on the company’s success over the past 12 years and spoke of using the move as a springboard for our future plans and goals before handing over to MD James. In a surprise announcement, James told guests they were attending the ‘World Premier’ of our new company video which was shown on a big screen in the company carpark. He then took the opportunity to thank staff and suppliers for their help with the move and to thank clients for their continued custom and support before handing over to first citizen of Erewash, Mayor Mary Hopkinson, who did us the honour of cutting the ribbon and declaring the building officially open. James said:
We are very much looking forward to welcoming visitors old and new to The Technology Hub in 2018 and beyond.
It’s been a fantastic evening and we’d like to thank everyone who was able to join us for an unforgettable celebration. I am very proud of how far Air IT has come in the last 12 years. As well as consistent growth, we have enjoyed excellent levels of client retention. Ultimately, the decision to relocate to Interchange 25 Business Park has enabled us to provide a place where our team can thrive and feel at home so we can continue delivering excellent levels of service. It is also ideally located for us to carry on supporting our clients in Nottingham as well as expanding our presence into Derby and Leicester to fuel further growth.
